In a world shaped by climate crises, conflict, and division, traditional classrooms fall short in preparing teens for real-life challenges. At Beyond the Classroom, we offer leadership programs for teens in South Asia that go beyond academics, equipping youth with critical thinking skills, emotional intelligence, and tools for global citizenship.

Our after-school leadership programs, student dialogue initiatives, and skills-based learning workshops focus on holistic education for adolescents. Whether through experiential learning for high school students, international youth leadership courses, or teen personal development courses in Pakistan, we help teens become confident, compassionate leaders.

We believe that when teens are given responsibility and the right tools, they don’t just imagine a better future—they build it.

Youth Empowerment

We equip young people with the tools, skills, spaces and confidence to lead change in their communities and beyond.

Critical Thinking

We nurture a culture of questioning, reflection, and dialogue—so learners can navigate complexity with clarity and depth

Empathy in Action

We believe that understanding others is a leadership skill—and we embed compassion into every learning experience.

Collaboration Over Competition

We build communities of learners who grow together—peers, mentors, educators—through trust, dialogue, and shared goals.

Beyond the Classroom Education, previously known as The History Project, began its journey at Cambridge Social Ventures (CSV)—the social incubator of Cambridge University’s Judge Business School. Since graduating in 2017, we’ve grown into a student development program offering high school student leadership trainings and future-ready skills for teenagers across South Asia.

Our leadership programs for teens and for individuals above 18 are rooted in critical thinking, confidence building, communication and collaboration. These programs span across South Asia and beyond, preparing the next generation for college, careers, and a globally connected world.

Vision

A world where empowered youth lead action on critical global issues.

Mission

To educate and empower youth with the skills, knowledge, and community to collaboratively lead change on critical global issues

Facilitation and Mediation Turkey and Our Story

When we started Beyond the Classroom, the goal was simple: teach what matters, even if no one else is teaching it yet.

We’re not here to replace schools—we’re here to partner with them. To bring the future into the classroom before the system catches up. From climate literacy to conflict resolution, we design futuristic, focused programs that give young people the skills they actually need to lead, adapt, and thrive.

This is our bet: that education can be relevant, urgent, and deeply human. Let’s build that future—one meaningful intervention at a time.

Sanaa Ahmed
(Facilitator)

For me, working with BTC has been a profound and rewarding experience. The process of creating a comfortable space with youngsters to explore their ideas and feelings is like setting up a stimulating playground for us to learn from each other. With every group there are carefree laughs, emotionally moving stories, and moments of epiphany that create a bond. This is the bond that brings this community together. A community that I am proud to be a part of.

Amna Lakha
(SSCCA Participant)

The overall experience has been extremely rewarding and allowed me a chance to take part in real life experiences that I never thought I would have been able to. The mentors were extremely helpful in helping our project kick off from the ground. The opportunity has provided us with something that could really make us start apart from all other students beginning their corporate careers.

Muhammad Abdullah Qaisar
(Dialogue Academy Participant)

I had an amazing experience as I was able to learn so much about such a basic but essential part of our life: dialogue. Without this course I wouldn’t have been able to change my false beliefs like always having a correct view in a conversation. The course has made me more cautious in creating a safe environment whenever I’m talking to people of different opinions

Ayesha Siddiqah
(Bulandi Fellow)

Being a part of this fellowship reminded me of the importance of community building and relationships. It introduced me to so many like-minded people, and for that I will forever be grateful. Meeting these people and getting to know them has definitely made me into a better person.

Arbaaz Budhani
(Quaid Say Baatein Trainer)

I believe if we teach the right sense of direction, goals, and the will to achieve, the children of today can be the leaders of tomorrow. BTC’s program makes it easier for us to help young minds groom in a manner that they are able to exercise their wisdom for a better Pakistan in the future.

Osama Rizwan
(ALP Trainer)

Being a BTC trainer gave me self-satisfaction that I can make a difference in the world by setting these young souls on a path to thoughtful self-cultivation.

Sirbuland Khan
(FLP Mentor)

The program taught me how to be a good listener and I also developed an open mind. This was an extremely healthy experience that led to me evolving into a better version of myself.

Lalain Majid
(External Facilitator)

I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to conduct multiple sessions for Beyond the Classroom’s Dialogue Academy—both online and in person, and it has been an incredibly enriching experience every single time. Working with children from different age groups and backgrounds, engaging in thoughtful conversations, and co-creating a space for honest reflection have deeply impacted me both personally and professionally.

Asma Khuhro
(External Facilitator)

Being part of BTC has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my journey as a facilitator, running Dialogue Academy sessions. BTC is not just an organization; it’s a community that truly believes in the power of dialogue to bridge divides and spark transformation. Every session I facilitate under BTC’s umbrella reminds me how deeply human connection, empathy, and open conversation can shape lives. I have seen participants grow in confidence, challenge their own biases, and leave with a renewed sense of purpose.
